While I will be the last one to acknowledge any of Barry's home run accomplishments, Old Hammerin Hank certainly had his own special advantages.  Unlike Babe, Mickey, and Willie, Aaron only had to swat a line drive a little over 300 feet to get it out of the Braves ballparks in Milwaukee and Atlanta.  Fulton Stadium was built specially to accommodate Hank's range.  Ruth and Mantle had to knock the ball over 400 feet to clear the fences where they hit, which the routinely could do.  Mays played his early career at the Polo Grounds, which virtually had no fence, as they were well over 450 feet from home plate.  Playing the majority of his home games at Candlestick Park in San Francisco, Mays had to hit into a constant 50 mph wind, blowing in from left field.  While I'm not sure WHO the builders of this atrocity had in mind when they drew up the plans, it certainly was NOT the Say Hey Kid.  It was estimated he lost over 150 homers during his career there, because of the wind.  The fun thing about these 4 home run greats is they did it all without steroids.  And Babe, Mick, and Willie hit some of the longest home runs ever.  Barry and Hank could hit the ball hard on their own power.  Both also have had the blessing of long, long careers that aided their records a lot.  Sadly, injuries and personal health problems cut short those of Ruth, Mantle, and Mays, leaving the door wide open for these other "wanna-bees".
