International Bacon Day - Hide your Animal Print stuff, especially those Pig noses!

Yes, it is once again International Bacon Day.  I stayed up late tonight so I could start my celebration as early as possible.  The holiday was started by a group from Boulder, Colorado five years ago.  They obviously thought this was more exciting than putting on a bunch of University of Colorado merchandise and cheering for a team that will probably have a losing season.  Maybe even the University of Colorado bookstore carries bacon snacks and pig noses right beside the Buffalo merchandise.

With their football season opening on Sunday against Colorado State, the Buffs will probably need a little extra pigskin to end up on top.  The Rams of Colorado State will be covered with Colorado State merchandise in the in-state rivalry.  I would guess the Colorado State bookstore will be emptied out as the CSU loyalists try to start their season with the success they had last year.

This game should be a toss-up.  Both teams are trying to make a name for themselves.  This will be a good start for either one.  It will be fun to see a good game to start the season after watching all the routs on Saturday.  I commend both teams for this great early matchup.
