It seems there is an International debate over whether some Japanese fisherman caught a 22 pound 5 ounce large-mouth bass in Lake Biwa.  The significance is that this is 1 ounce heavier than the world's record set by an American in Georgia.  It seems that this is now a world's record in limbo because the International Game Fish Association requires that you beat the record holder by 2 ounces.  Why, because the Japanese fish was weighed in the metric system and not the English.  Translating the weight to ounces, the total weight was over 4 ounces and no one knows if the American record holder rounded his weight up or down if it was over 4, but under 5 ounces.  All of this bass stuff is giving me a headache. 

I say give the record to both guys.  Let the American have the rights to sell in English a bass decals that says - My Bass is bigger than your Bass.  The Japanese guy can have the same rights for a bass decals in Japanese.

This should spawn (no pun intended) a whole market for My Bass gifts.  There will be My Bass merchandise of all kinds - shirts, hats, underwear, bumper stickers, maybe even a new line of grilled fish.
