I couldn't believe it when I read it --
Lewis and Clark worked together to rob a convenience store. It was a busted inside job. Clark was the cashier and Lewis was the perpetrator. They were busted because the police has a license plate recognition device and Lewis' car was at the convenience store earlier in the day. When confronted by the police, he denied being there. Since they knew he was lying, the searched his apartment and found out that he lived with Clark.
After learning as a kid, was great people Lewis & Clark were, this caused me much chagrin. I could only imagine a combination of the two stories. Lewis & Clark working together to rob a store so they could get hunting stuff and fishing stuff for their trip across America. It could even go further as I think about Lewis & Clark carrying trade items like hunting decals or fishing decals or even a hunting clock to trade with the Native American Indians. A bit of a stretch, but still an interesting idea for a story.
