While I think the orginal version of this classic dates back into the mid 50's, the Vogies certainly had the best version of it, with some classic Letterman-like harmony.
Sadly, those of us who were cool in the late 60's, were prepping for Woodstock, and rocking to The White Album, the Doors, the Stones, the Dead, the Birds, Dylan, Janis, and Iron Butterfly. These clean cut ivy league all american boys weren't exactly hanging out on Haight and Ashbury with the hippies and flower power!!!
Anyway, they had a great version of my special ANGEL, which is what I have always called my wife. Now I have found a special web store that offers some pretty righteous Angel stuff.
You should check this out if you are into Angel accessories, they have some nice personalized Angel floor mats for your hot rod. Also some cool looking Angel decals for the windows. These would also make nice Angel gifts for HER hot rod!
